On Τhursday, 1st of March at the Onassis Cultural Centre’s large auditorium the éso conference will take place. The éso conference gathers yearly the most important representatives of the Hellenic creative scene, and is established as the leading institution of design arts projection in Greece. In 2018, the lectures show the ways with which professionals in the design field managed to stand against difficulties and adversities, by capitalising on experience from “easier” eras and turning to specialization areas with growing demand. Original material regarding the design of hosting infrastructure, architectural branding, and specific requirements of buildings, will be presented at the conference. Additionally, future unexpected opportunities of a continuously broadening market for contemporary visual communication will be highlighted. In the 2018 éso hosts the following guest speakers: Nikos Ktenàs (Nikos Ktenàs architecture), Laertis Antonios Ando Vassiliou (LAAV Architects), Pavlos Chatziangelidis, Eleftheria Fatsea and Theodora Papadopoulou (314 Architecture Studio), and journalist and Arts editor at Kathimerini newspaper, Nikos Vatopoulos. Inmind, Platinum Sponsor to the conference, invites two London designers Luke Pearson & Tom Lloyd (PearsonLloyd Studio), recently selected in the top 50 studios that shape the future of world design, to lecture at éso 2018. The conference with the strategic collaboration between SGT S.A. and PRODEXPO as Knowledge Partners, welcomes a special discussion by a panel of representatives of hotel chains, real estate investors and architects, about the present and future, and the dynamics developed in Athens due to pending investments over 10 billion euros. With a financially recovering Athens, investor interest is growing. Haris Siganos (Executive Director, Zeus International-Wyndham Hotels), Natalia Strafti (Chief Operating Officer Grivalia Properties), Neni Spartsi (schema 4 architects) and Olga Itsiou (Technical Director DIMAND) will present methods of capitalising this interest for the creation of a living and sustainable European capital.
