Design for self-expression will be the central theme of the show in Dubai World Trade Centre, this March. With the most diverse and creative catalogue of exhibitors to date, a conference schedule featuring the pinnacle of local and international design minds, and bespoke live features brought to Dubai exclusively for the show by leading European designers, INDEX will celebrate design as a direct reflection of individuality. INDEX is comprised of 6 market-leading sectors, carefully selected to make it as easy as possible for architecture, design & fit out professionals to see, touch, test & specify the products they need: A&D City, Accessories & Homeware, Cabinets, Closets & Storage, Furniture & Furnishings, Lighting & Technology, Sleep & Textiles. The design mantra this year “personal self-expression” will critique the way individuality is expressed through interior products, be that at work or at home, since interiors, furniture and décor are considered a direct reflection of those who own the space. This is only the second time in the event’s 28-year history that INDEX will incorporate a theme. With a forecast of over 1,000 exhibitors coming to INDEX from 60 different countries, the 2018 show will offer a wealth of products for those hoping to find that item which will allow their client’s project to feel uniquely theirs.
In the framework of INDEX Design Series 2018 taking place at the Dubai World Trade Center, from 26 to 29 March, WORKSPACE will host the most influential designers and commercial interior brands such as H2O Concepts/Herman Miller, Guialmi, Boss Design and Codutti. Traditionally catering to office furniture and design, WORKSPACE seeks to offer more décor and working solutions for all possible commercial, educational and healthcare environments. As the main platform for commercial interior brands or tradesmen who wish access to the Middle East, and having generated an estimated $1billion in legacy business from the 2017 show alone, WORKSPACE is aiming to engage with visitors in new ways this time around, with the Work Design Studio and Premium Design Experience allowing potential buyers the chance to learn and get hands-on with the latest in trend-leading design. The H2O Concepts/Herman Miller-sponsored Work Design Studio will offer a series of discussion seminars on a wide range of industry topics, from biophilic design to smarter ways of manipulating space. Trend-led Premium Design Experience will showcase the most original and best new commercial furniture products, with leading firms launching their latest lines, and 10 international hubs across the exhibition floor, with Germany, USA, UK, Italy, France, and Austria also featuring.
