The 6th MykonosVillas bookazine is a bilingual luxury edition featuring 15 captivating summer retreats recently built on the famous Cycladic island, designed by acclaimed architectural offices.

The houses of Mykonos form a contemporary architectural style, juxtaposing rough stone walls and white plastered volumes, angular or curved, harsh or smooth, where the inclusion of Cycladic typological elements results in aesthetically integrated architectural ensembles.

Often founded directly on the natural rock, the stone masonry creates open-air formations, connecting the building with its environment, while differently oriented volumes and framed views, alterations of closed and open spaces, changing light and shadow, converse with the dominant features of the natural surrounding: The dry ground, the sea and the wind.
The photographs selected for publication highlight the excellent construction quality of the houses, combining modern technological amenities with hand-crafted components, adapted to present-day conditions, such as stonework, pressed cement mortar, timber construction and paving.

The 14^th edition of Maison de Campagne presents 16 selected, recently built country houses.

Vacation homes are the most intimate expression of architecture because their design is all about the creation of lasting memories. From the viewpoint of an architect, the transformation of a space into a “place” is a two-way process; the design of a building allows space to store memories and, next, the imprint of those memories transforms the building into a place.

In this publication, the selected projects are developed in different Greek islands, in the Peloponnese and in Cyprus. Some are new buildings while others are renovations of existing structures; some embrace modernity and some emulate traditional forms. In all cases, the common denominator is the relationship they develop with the Mediterranean landscape and the blue of the sky and the sea.

The Maison de Campagne 2020 edition will be available, at airports, press outlets and malls of the following countries: USA, UK, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Greece, Cyprus, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Oman, India, China, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan.
