The word Casca derives from the Latin translation of Greek word “σκάφανδρο”, referring to the waterproof diver’suit. The position of the 850m2 store inside the Zea marina in Piraeus, directed the concept of an all-day, multi-purpose eatery with an elegant, timeless and simultaneously friendly environment.
The building accommodating the store is built in the late 50s and follows the simple, austere lines of Modernism. Due to the store’s proximity to the moored boats in the marina, the general aesthetic of the interior is based on the interior design of yachts, with several wooden surfaces and curved lines as predominant geometric element.
