Ek magazine curates “Building Together,” a new series of talks taking place within the Build Expo Construction Fair and focusing on the process through which architecture moves from design into construction.

Architecture practices present selected projects together with contractors, engineers, developers and representatives of the organisations responsible for their delivery. Rather than concentrating solely on the completed building, the presentations examine the process behind it: technical decisions, coordination between disciplines, bespoke applications and construction solutions developed from design development through implementation.

The programme is organised around different building typologies —office buildings, contemporary residential developments, adaptive reuse, public buildings and residences— highlighting the architect’s active involvement in construction and the collaboration between design teams and those responsible for technical development and delivery.
