ParosVillas Vol. 3 is a special edition presenting 15 luxury vacation houses in Paros and Antiparos, as a documentation of the best recent architectural projects in the two celebrated Cycladic islands. The projects included in this volume demonstrate how architects are now tasked with confronting the challenges of the times, encompassing aspects such as scale, density, periodic usage patterns, and sustainability. Here, architects explore multiple negotiations between the building, the ground morphology, and the existing vernacular settlements, aiming at the proper integration into the place and its landscape by means of architectural syntax, materiality, and traditional building techniques.

In all cases, the results testify to great compositional freedom, in the framework of maximizing the view and seamlessly integrating indoors and outdoors, with contemporary living amenities, comfortable furnishings, elaborate lighting and advanced technological infrastructure.

The edition of the bilingual bookazine ParosVillas presents 15 luxurious villas in Paros and Antiparos, attempting to capture the best recently materialized projects in two of the most popular islands of the Cyclades.

The architects here negotiate in varied detail the conversation of the  building with the ground morphology and existing vernacular habitations, having as main objective to adapt the building to the place and the landscape through an architectural syntax, the use of materials and occasionally traditional building techniques.

In all cases, the internal arrangements bear witness to a great compositional liberty, in pursuit of maximum views and an unobstructed connection between inside and outside, while ensuring contemporary habitation amenities, with spacious interiors, comfortable furnishings, thoughtful lighting and sophisticated technology.
