The entrance is situated in the middle of the plan, separating the private part of bedrooms from the living and dining rooms and the kitchen. The designers’ intention was to convey the couple’s vivid personality and energy, as well as their interest in design. Simultaneously the space had to be cosy and familiar, allowing for relaxation. During the renovation, the only elements preserved were the sitting room’s marble floor as well as the bedrooms’ wooden one. White colour reigns supreme, offering a mild background to several design objects. Parts of walls are wallpapered, adding character to the space. Sitting and dining rooms, kitchen and entrance hall alike, are in open plan around the library wall, with free standing furniture. The sitting room verandas are a natural continuation of internal space, separated from it by large sliding frames. Each veranda is addressed with a different philosophy, further expanding living choices.
