Housing complex in Chalandri

On a three-sided plot in the Patima Chalandri area, a nine-residence housing complex was constructed. Each house consists of three or four interconnected levels, with a total range in size from 220m² to 120m². The field is slightly inclined on the long side, whereas the main façade along the small side faces south. The building programme for developing individual volumes involved creating residencies that would fulfill the functional needs of future residents. Morphologically, key design principles are: integration with the natural surroundings, unobstructed views, adaptation to the urban environment according to the principles of sustainable building design, integration of water cooling components and the continuous interaction of each residence with the whole complex, both through its green open spaces and the neighbouring public open areas. Functionally, the homes are organized vertically on three or four levels. Utility spaces and car parking are situated in the basement. On the ground floor, which has a private entrance for each home, the option to create high living-room highlights individual architectural details and the inseparable connection of indoor and outdoor spaces. Bedrooms and restrooms are located on the first and second floors, ensuring privacy. The roof level is a recreation area, with a roof garden that offers uninterrupted views of Penteli mountain.
