Spirto is a brand new space at the heart of one of the world’s most ancient cities, Sparta. Living up to its name, which means “match” in Greek, Spirto’s presence is simple, snappy, and fiery. With its bold colours and quirky name, the all-day coffee bar differentiates itself from its neighbours on the small pedestrian street of the city centre.
Combining lively images and sounds from the rock scene, Spirto materializes the owners’ main concept and lifestyle in a way that invites and ignites. The geometry of the blue metal facade is matched with pink details on the door and neon signage. On one side of the fair-faced concrete walls is a hand-painted portrait of Amy Winehouse; a long, vibrant wall of fame runs along the length of the other.
The space of the bar is delimited by the bar structure in wood and rebar grid and an L-shaped overhead structure in bright yellow perforated sheet.
Minimal furniture in wood and metal, terrazzo surfaces and rough cement are paired with glossy green colour on the doors and one side of the wall, creating the desired contrasts of the overall aesthetics, where the familiar flirts with the unexpected.
