Event at the Round School of Agios Dimitrios
Marking 100 years since the birth of Takis Ch. Zenetos (1926–1977), the 1st General Lyceum of Agios Dimitrios is organising an event dedicated to the life and work of the pioneering Greek architect. It will take place on Saturday, 7 November 2026, at 18:00, in the auditorium of the Takis Zenetos Round School.
The programme includes the screening of an audiovisual work by architect Dora Theodoropoulou and visual artist Elina Theodoropoulou, tracing key moments in Zenetos’ life and creative career. Featured projects include Electronic Urbanism, the FIX factory, the Round School, the Lycabettus Theatre and a selection of his residential works.
The production features editing and aerial photography by Panagiotis Tsagas, music by Vangelis Papathanassiou and Nikos Charizanos, 3D animation by Ian Michalaros and animation by Polyxeni Katsari, with the support of Athena Maria Fix. Combining archival and contemporary visual material, it highlights Zenetos’ visionary thinking and the continuing relevance of his work.

The architectural legacy of Zenetos
The centenary provides a new opportunity to revisit Zenetos’ architectural legacy. In December 2022, ek magazine, in collaboration with the Hellenic Institute of Architecture, organised the Takis Ch. Zenetos 2022 tribute event at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. The event marked the announcement of the opening of the architect’s archive and its gradual availability to the international research community.
The tribute also led to the publication of the collective volume “Takis Ch. Zenetos 2022”, edited by Ariadni Vozani and Elias Constantopoulos. Bringing together critical essays and previously unpublished archival material, the book contributes to a more systematic study of Zenetos’ life, work and multifaceted architectural thinking.
