International Architectural Competition Arxellence 3

ek magazine is the Communication Sponsor for Arxellence 3, the new, international, interdisciplinary architectural ideas competition, organized by ALUMIL and the Non-Profit Civil Company AEGEAS, under the supervision and co-organization of the Technical Chamber of Greece.

Competition Theme & Location

The theme of Arxellence 3 is the “Preservation of Historical Memory & Promotion and Protection of the Special Environmental Characteristics of the Island of Gyaros.” It calls on the global architectural community to submit innovative proposals for a modern Research Centre, which will serve as a “Lighthouse” of culture, enhancing the preservation of historical memory and fostering biodiversity strategies in Eastern Mediterranean.

Opening Ceremony

The new competition will be officially launched on June 28, 2024, at the Opening Ceremony titled “Historical Memory meets Sustainable Present & Future“, which will take place at Megaron Athens Concert Hall. The event is expected to attract the attention of the international architectural community and aims to create a vision for a Greek sustainable future.
