The 17th edition of Maison de Campagne presents 14 selected, recently built country houses in Greece.
Vacation homes tend to express -probably more than any other project category- the poetic dimension of architecture. They bring together tradition, a place, climate, experiences, and memories, in a narrative which unfolds as a storytelling in the landscape. Those works suggest a different way of living, in a distant place, liberating emotions, and superseding time.
In this publication, the selected projects are developed in different Greek islands, in the Peloponnese and in Crete. Vacation homes establish an open conversation between history and the landscape, materials and time, contemporary and preexisting elements.
