The building was constructed on a corner plot of 1,100m2 in the Glyfada Golf area. It consists of a basement with storage and parking areas, a ground floor and three upper floors with residences.
A pergola-covered area marks the outside of the building’s entrance, leading to two independent dwellings that are developed on two levels. Each dwelling has exclusive use of an open space of the plot and a private pool. On the upper two floors there are two apartments of a total area of approximately 300m2.
On the third floor, the apartments have the same floor plan as the previous floors, with an additional living area and a bathroom on the top floor, where there is also exclusive use of the roof garden. The perimeter of the outside area is formed with canopies for shading, while the floor is of wood.
The basic materials used were exposed concrete, aluminium, glass and wooden blinds, in parts of the façades and bedrooms. The blinds act as a vertical surface that provides shading, but also filters contact with the external environment.
The balconies vary in appearance; some have a parapet over their total height, while others were built of glass and still others of metal. The concrete elements, together with components such as the metal chimneys, wooden blinds and the large glass openings that allow the exterior to blend with the interior, emphasize the linearity of design and modern (minimal) architecture.
Finally, the design of the gardens in the open spaces – at the buildings’ and residences’ entrances – creates a pleasant environment, following the designer’s vision.
