The project is a two-storey luxury single-family house located on the outskirts of Seville, in Spain, with total surface area of 700 m2.
The house comprises cubic forms, projected on inclined planes with walls that cross, almost meet and pergolas that embrace, all in limestone. The same stone and glass of the building is used for the swimming pool, pergolas and surrounding fencing, so as to preserve harmony and visual identity.
Access occurs from the street level leading directly to the basement with parking areas, storage and auxiliary spaces. Externally, a staircase of the same stone rises to the main entrance of the house. From the basement, the elevator connecting the three levels, leads to the ground floor entrance hall and a circular double-height atrium that provides natural light via skylights, while a custom designed pendant lamp in gold metal and mahogany wood runs through it.
The ground floor hosts the communal living areas of the house, comprising sitting and dining rooms, a home cinema, the kitchen and a study, with the master suite on a separate wing with two bathrooms and two separate dressing rooms. All spaces open out to outdoor patios. On the upper floor there are fitted terraces for the bedrooms and a large chill-out area.
Landscaping and most built and movable furniture is designed by the architects, who also added one of their paintings to the main living area wall. White predominates on walls and ceilings, with dark brown lacquered wood and aubergine greys balancing the colour palette. Limestone is also used indoors, with polished surfaces on flooring and bathrooms.
